Monthly Event - March

Dianne Stewart was born in the coastal city of Durban in the Republic of South Africa.  Twenty-one years ago, Dianne and her husband made the difficult decision to leave the violence and political strife of their home country to give their family a better and safer life in the United States.  They escaped South Africa and relocated to Charlotte, but their fight had just begun.  For the last 20 years, Dianne and her family have battled the cumbersome and frustrating US immigration system while building a unique business that helps others do the same.  In this inspirational talk, you will learn the true meaning of perseverance as Dianne shares her story of what brought her to the US, how she had to fight to stay here, and how she managed to survive with her family, marriage and businesses in tact.

About our Speaker:  Dianne Stewart is the President of BSA PR & Marketing, a marketing, events and social media consultancy; and PathwayUSA, an educational immigration advice and relocation agency.   She is an internationally Accredited Public Relations Practitioner, having had the honor of working on the Inauguration event of the first democratically elected President of South Africa, Nelson Mandela.  Dianne is also the recipient of a Charlotte’s Best Award by Charlotte Magazine for an event called South by South Africa, a multi institutional event highlighting the similarities between the US’s segregated South, with apartheid South Africa. She has volunteered at many organizations in Charlotte and believes that giving back is what a meaningful life is all about.
